2004 Red Dayi 7542 Green Pu-erh Tea Cake (7542) 

The pesticide testing has been conducted on this tea, and the tea passed the test against multiple chemicals with flying colors.

We bought a few 2004 Red Dayi tea cakes from a private reserve during our 2012 Fall tea trip. This batch was stored in Dali then Kunming, so it's aged less, similar to our 1998 CNNP 7542 Pu-erh Tea Cake. You may find it very interesting to brew it side by side, both are similar teas when they were born, but they are remarkably different teas now.

This is the most popular Dayi branded cake, a classic recipe since 1975. Even though it is made by using blended plantation tea leaves, it wins by its unparalleled performance seen during last few decades. 

We consider it a benchmark Pu-erh tea everyone should at least own a piece of it.

The brewed broth is light reddish, not 'wet storaged', but a dry stored matured/semi-aged tea.
