The matching cast iron cups are available.

The purpose: it distributes the heat evenly, retains the water temperature for a long while, and releases some minerals at the same time, supposed to make a great cup of tea with a full flavor.

Notes:

•     The pot is not really a kettle to heat the water, but a vessel to brew teas
•     If you have to, be sure to use the low dial to heat it slowly for a prolonged life when it is placed on a stove top. A special warmer/heater is recommended instead of a household stove
