Here are the secrets why a Boyou ripe Pu-erh tea is so good. 1. The raw materials have to be harvested in Menghai area at a high altitude; 2. The harvest times have to be before June 6th and after Sept. 23rd, no summer tea ( From June 7th - Sept.8th) shall be accepted; 3. The fermentation is supervised by a famed fermentation master himself, and the fermentation period is between 65-95 days; 4. After the fermentation, the tea should undergo a 6 month aging in a dry storage before making into a product.
