Naka Big Tree Gongting Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake

I pulled out my pesticide testing tab ( a practice we took for every tea we bought from now on), and the tea passed with flying colors (I'll let you in on a little secret, almost all new teas from tea gardens/plantation failed the test, unless the tea was made by using big/ancient tree tea leaves).

Every year we found a few good teas, we were delighted to find this tea cake in our 2011 Spring tea trip.

It is customary to make ripe Puerh from some lower grade/low quality raw materials, yet this is a purely composed of 100% Spring Arbor Tree Pu-erh from Naka  - single sourced premium quality tea. Since this is rare to get nowadays, and you can be sure that these are the cakes worth to collect.

The idea is to taste a good quality tea that has aged for 30 plus years today! The brewed tea is rich, aromatic as ever and sweet, quite nice and mellow, and very much enjoyable like a Merlot or your best cup of Starbuck coffee.

It's such a luxury, yammy!
