As the owner of Puerh Shop, I am privileged to taste all Pu-erh teas I sell. I am no expert on Pu-erh tea just yet, but I drunk enough to gain some invaluable experience to share with you.

To find a great Pu-erh tea is not an easy task to undertake nowadays, because we are immersed in a big market with hundreds of products available.

To me, a good Pu-erh tea should meet the following standards:

  1. It has to be a genuine product, it should be what it says to be, not an imitation of the original product.
  2. It has to be coming from the authentic sources, made by a known manufacturer.
  3. It has to be presented in a good condition, not be ruined or contaminated by improper handling.

Nevertheless, I have composed a list for your consideration when you select your teas as follows:

For a Pu-erh tea beginner, if you have never drunk Pu-erh tea before, you could start with something very simple and yet inexpensive. We recommended the following items, a safe bet for anyone:

For experienced Pu-erh tea drinker, you got a lot more choices. We recommended the following items:
