Our new American Hao is the first product I bet on some serious money, if it turns out to be a turkey, I am doomed.
Today, the package arrived with some American Hao and all Douji small bricks I ordered.
As soon as I opened the tong (7 cakes wrapped by the bamboo bark), I started to regret my decision to go cheap on the packaging. The paper wrapper was one of these low quality brownish, very thin paper, it made a hundred dollar product look like a cheapo!
Unwrapping the cake, a beautiful tea disc began to unveil, how nice. I could sense that the cake was compressed just two weeks ago with its wet feel.
I could not wait for a quick brew.
Chop off 6.2 grams and throw into my Gaiwan.
The first few cups were good, but the soup was not that clear. I knew the cake had not been dried up properly just yet. I pulled a small cup to my wife, asking her opinion. She liked it, saying that it's so sweet. I noticed, the sweetness stayed in my month for a long time even I stopped drinking it.
While I am writing this, my mouth is filled with water without drinking anything.
The soup turned pretty clear when I steeped for the fourth time.
